Dr. Kenneth Leal, Blairstown Animal Hospital’s owner, is a long-time resident of the Blairstown area. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in the College Scholars Program with emphasis in Biology and Zoology. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, he joined the practice as an associate vet and later became partner. Now sole owner, he resides in Blairstown with his wife and business partner Cathy, their four children and numerous pets. He is past president and a current member of the Metropolitan New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association as well as the American Association of Veterinary Medicine. |

Another New Jersey native, Dr. Merritt Wooding grew up in the town of Columbus. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts. He came to Blairstown after receiving his veterinary degree from Cornell University. He now lives in Hope township with his wife Pam, and their three cats, dog, and many horses. |

Dr. Carol Clegg is a 1994 graduate of North Carolina State University. She joined the hospital in 1998. Dr. Clegg, her husband, their two children and pets currently live in Blairstown. |

A native of Moorestown, NJ, Dr. Bethany Summers joined the animal hospital in 2004 from a practice in Mine Hill. She is a graduate of North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1990. She now lives in Knowlton with her husband Peter and their two boys, William and Jacob. Along with caring for her seven pets, Dr. Summers enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and singing in her church choir. |

Dr. Jennifer Park recently joined our team at the Blairstown Animal Hospital. A native of Maine, Dr. Park received her Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire in 2002. She went on to North Carolina State University for veterinary school, where she graduated in May 2006 with her D.V.M.. Dr. Park now lives in Knowlton with her husband Mike. They have 2 dogs, Ellie and Elsa, Sammy the cat, Porter the guinea pig, Pescado the turtle, and various fish. |
